Italian, Neapolitan, English, French, Wolof. These are the languages in which I sing, connecting my life’s different environments. Blending rock, reggae, pop and folk, I talk about the dynamics of being an immigrant woman in her 30s facing the dire condition of today’s world, with a view to inspiring a mobilization for change. Music has always been an important part of my life. However, the equally strong love for learning brought me to pursue an academic career. The sudden and unexpected loss of my father, strongly reignited in me the need to express my emotions through my music and my words. This is what has originated the Rossea project, that, in only one year, I’ve brought to the streets of Brussels as well as several locations around the city and beyond, gradually building an enthusiastic following.
