Rossea is an Italian singer-songwriter based in Brussels. She took her first steps as a musician when she was little, back in her hometown in the Campania region of southern Italy, learning to play guitar and performing mainly pop and rock cover songs. Studying has always been her second passion, leading her to pursue an academic career that culminated in a PhD in Social Sciences in 2023. The sudden loss of her father in 2024 reignited her need for emotional expression through music, leading to the official birth of the Rossea project.

Her first tracks, Crazy Ones and Metamorphose, were released in the same year, in collaboration with her long-time friend and southern Italian producer Insolito. At the same time, she started busking in the streets of Brussels, as well as playing in different bars and open mics, performing additional original compositions she wrote. That’s how she met Weiish MrBase and JayP, the musicians who form her band and are currently working on producing her first full-length album, 30 anni di separazione.

This album spans pop, acoustic rock, ‘world’, jazz and soul vibes, with songs in Italian, English and a touch of Wolof. Additionally, Rossea is active on the reggae scene, as her appearances on riddims created by the likes of Weiish MrBase, Ikspleton and Maxi Kalissa demonstrate.

So far, she has played at La Vieille Chechette, Boom Cafè, La Signare, Horloge du Sud, the Brussels Reggae Festival and La Fleur en Papier Doré.
